Clover's First Week of Life

I can't believe that as of yesterday Clover is already 1 week old. It goes by too fast. We cannot get enough of this sweet baby and she really has been near perfect. Its so incredible the love that I feel for her already. It really amazes me every time we have a baby how much more our hearts seem to grow to make room for this new little one rather than cutting back on our love for the others...it just gets bigger all of the time. Here are some pictures of the first seven days of Clover Mae's life.

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Day 6

Day 7

One week

And she has been getting plenty of snuggling too.

Thanks to everyone who has already helped us so much. We love all of you.

Clover Mae Oyler

Our sweet Clover Mae was born yesterday morning at 9:24 a.m. She weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz., and we could not be more excited. She was so awake and alert all day yesterday and today I have had to fight to get her to stay awake more than a few minutes...but so far she has been so precious and completely adorable. I can't stop staring at her and smelling her and I already can't believe she hasn't always been a part of our lives...funny how that happens so quickly. We all love her so much already.

Bright eyed.

All stretched out...she totally did this inside of me all of the time.

First time I got to hold her.

The girls were so excited to meet her and hold her...couldn't believe how big all the other girls look.

June was so excited...she just kept saying...sister, girl, sister

This is Dr. Williams...he delivered both June and Clover...and has been the best Dr. So grateful for him and how good he has been to us since the first day we met him.

Feeling incredibly blessed and overwhelmed by the trust Heavenly Father has put in me to let me have these four beautiful, smart, funny, good girls in this life. There is so much that they need to know and be taught to make it in these scary times and the fact that He trusts Jake and I enough to let us be their parents is amazing to me. So many people have asked if I would be disappointed if we didn't have a boy...and of course we would have loved to have a boy and know what that would be like, but honestly I couldn't imagine life without all my girls and I couldn't be more happy than I am with these four blessings. I feel like the luckiest mom in the world and I have the best husband at my side who  loves these girls just as much as I do and they absolutely adore him as well. Welcome to this world and our family Clover Mae...we've been waiting for you and are so happy you are here.

Molly Jane

Oh where do I begin with this girl? It really seems like she just grew up over night...but actually she has always seemed more grown up than she really is. Molly is almost finished with first grade. I was very  nervous for school this year because she just seemed so bored last year. She has had the best teacher this year though who has pushed her and kept her going all year long. Molly is such a smart girl. When I recently met with her teacher she told me all about how high all of Molly's testing scores are and that really she is capable of doing things that most kids are doing at the end of second grade. I am so glad her teacher works with her and challenges her. She loves school and amazes me all of the time with what she knows, I swear she is smarter than me. She is such a good big sister. She plays with Annie and loves to teach her what she knows. Lately it seems like they are the best of friends the worst of enemies...I guess thats how it is with sisters though. She is a huge help around the house, she is so good at making her bed without being asked and likes to do some extra chores every once in awhile. She loves June and loves to read to her, help take her potty, and play with her upstairs. She loves playing games and to read chapter books. I love that I can have real conversations with her and that she will talk to me about anything really. She is such a joy to have in our home.

I know there is so much more I could write about each and every one of these girls but that would take days. What I want to remember about right now is how sweet they all are (most of the time), how smart they are and the desire each of them has to learn new things all of the time, how much I love the moments when they all play together, or I catch Molly reading to all of them, or them all dancing in the living room. I love that they all have to hug and kiss each other goodbye in the mornings and my favorite thing is hearing their sweet prayers and when they pray for the other ones with specific needs they know they have. I am so blessed to be their mommy and I thank my Heavenly Father every single day for this chance. I can't wait to meet this new little one and see what they will add to our family.

Annie Eliza

I seriously cannot believe how much this girl has grown up in the last while. She is such a big girl. She loves playing pretend. She loves playing with Molly and gets very upset when Molly doesn't want to play every waking moment with her. She loves preschool and has learned so much this year. She was very disappointed when she learned that she isn't going to kindergarten next year like most of her preschool friends are, I know how she feels, she is totally ready. She loves to draw self portraits and they are some of the cutest things ever. She loves to sing made up songs all of the time, no matter what she is doing. She loves to dance. She loves watching movies. She loves to ride her bike up and down the sidewalk. She is such a great big sister and has started to include June in her playtime. She loves cuddling. She is starting to read small words. She is such a smartie. She loves primary and knows all the answers and loves to learn new songs in there too. She has such a contagious laugh and her smile still melts me with those big deep dimples. She has been begging to get her hair cut, I am putting it off because I am afraid her beautiful curls will never come back. She is very stubborn and tenderhearted...she hates to be told no. She brings so much joy into all of our lives.

June Lydia

I thought I would do an update on everyone in the family before the baby arrives so I can remember what life is like right now for us. I thought I would start off with June Lydia. Oh Junie bug we sure can't get enough of her around here...except for the awful scream she has when she doesn't like what someone is doing. June will be 22 months on May 20th. She has been talking for awhile but just even in the past few weeks as started talking a lot more and putting more and more words together. Its always fun to hear the things she says and what words and phrases she picks up from listening to all of us. She loves to say a word and continue to repeat it over and over until you say back to her what she is say and say yes that is right. Its like she is making sure she really knows. It is so cute. She is working on getting her 11th and 12th teeth. She loves peanut butter and jam sandwiches, string cheese, cereal and apple juice. She loves to play with babies and blocks and read books...especially if they have animals in them. She loves to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Popcorn Popping. She loves playing with her sisters. She loves watching Elmo, Backyardigans, Dragon Tales and Dora. She loves Rio and Tangled too. She makes us all laugh pretty much all of the time. She gives some of the best hugs and kisses ever. She is a non-stop noise maker at home...but the minute we get around other people she is pretty quiet. She is still learning to like nursery but does better every week. She is potty training right now and has come a long ways from day one. I just can't believe how big she is. We sure love her and can't imagine what we would do without her.

Other April Happenings

Like I mentioned in my last post Jake left Easter night for a week. We tried to do some fun things to keep our minds off of it while he was gone. One day we headed to the park and enjoyed the awesome weather. We also watched movies and just played outside.

This is how June looked one morning when I got her out of bed...her pjs were all unbuttoned and only on her arms still.

Movie night with the girls.

After Jake had been gone a week to ND, he had to go to SLC for work for a couple of days and then back to ND most of this past week...so we tagged along to SLC with him so we could see him a little more. While he worked on Wednesday we headed over to my sister Holly's house to see her new baby.
This baby is such a miracle and I could hardly believe she was really here. We are so happy for Holly and Adam and so happy to have McKinlee in the family. The girls all adored her and couldn't get enough of her...none of us could really.

Molly...she even decided she wanted a girl after seeing how cute McKinlee was.

I can't really tell if Annie is excited or not.

June loved her and was so good at holding her.

Makes me excited to get our own baby here soon.

After ooing and ahhing over the baby we headed back in to SLC to meet up with Jake for dinner and a stroll around City Creek. It really was pretty cool.

Thursday we went and took Jake to see the baby again and then headed over to Stacy's for dinner. It is always so much fun to see them. The kids had so much fun and we had a great time visiting for a bit. Thanks for letting us crash in on you guys for a bit.

Friday we started off by hitting up the Church History Museum. It was so neat and the kids loved the children's section. Here are Jake and the girls after doing some latin dancing.

Gathering eggs.

Planting veggies.

Afterwards we headed over to Temple Square to see all of the beautiful flowers.

We also went to see the Lorax and then surprised the girls by letting them each get a Build a Bear. They were so excited and it was so much fun watching them pick out their bears and an outfit.

We hit up The Old Spaghetti Factory before heading back to our hotel for a swim. I think that Annie might actually be gagging right here...haha.

This was one thing the girls insisted we do. They had so much fun...and even though I didn't get any pictures June was in there too and loved it so much.

Saturday we headed to Hogle Zoo... besides it being super busy it was a whole lot of fun.

Later we headed to the fountains at Gateway.

And after dinner found a park to use up any unused energy before heading back to the hotel. Its so fun seeing how much June loves being outside and swinging and going on the slide.

It was such a fun trip and exactly what we needed with Jake being gone and working alot and getting ready for adding another baby to this family. I love taking these little vacations from our everyday life and making new memories with our kids. We packed a lot in over those few days and it was so much fun. Jake flew out early Sunday morning and the girls and I headed back to Vernal. Now we are just trying to get our life a bit more organized (okay so I am), enjoying the good weather, trying to pick out some baby names, finishing up the school year and dance and just anxiously awaiting our new arrival. We can't wait.
